Join the 1812 Theatre Tykes

A new branch to the Youth Theatre tree : a company for 5-8 year olds.

Classes with Audrie Woodhouse
 Tuesdays from 4.00pm - 5.00pm
Starting Tuesday 15 January 2013 at 4.00pm

The classes  are designed to be fun, energetic and engaging with a view to performing and sharing what has been  learned. Underpinning all the activity will be a commitment to quality and integrity  from both the teacher and the students.

Quite apart from the fun involved, group performance classes are invaluable for encouraging communication, confidence, creativity, initiative, independence and collaboration.

And starting from this young age will be an excellent preparation for graduating to the9 - 12 year olds’  branch of the 1812 Youth Theatre. In fact, by joining Audrie’s Telltale Tent from 18 months  to 4 years old, it’s possible to climb the whole tree to when they are 18 years and beyond.

Audrie began her career as a professional dancer and has a diploma in musical theatre from LSMT at The Old Vic, a BA(hons) in Performing Arts and recently gained a distinction for her Masters in Writing, Directing and Performance at University of York. She has years of professional acting experience and has taught acting for more than ten years.  She is delighted to be joining Helmsley Arts Centre as leader of our New 1812 Tykes.

Cost: £4 per session or £35 in advance  for 10 sessions
