A Lecture By Suzanne Fagence Cooper : Painting And Poetry: An Introduction To The Pre-Raphaelites




Suzanne Fagence Cooper studied History at Oxford, Art History at the Courtauld Institute, and at Christie’s Education. She lectures widely including cruises and the V&A. This lectures reveals the complex and very personal responses of artists to their favourite poets, from Dante to Tennyson.

NADFAS is a pioneering educational arts charity that has been fostering appreciation of the decorative and fine arts and the preservation of our national heritage for over 40 years. The Association has a membership of over 90,000 based across the country.
There is only one thing more stimulating than the enjoyment of the Arts: enjoying the Arts with like-minded people.

Our dynamic programme of lectures, visits and study days is made even more interesting by the presence of people who share the same interests as you. Bring a friend or make friends  there.

Lectures are held at the Helmsley Arts Centre, generally on the first Monday in the month from October to July.  Our lecturers are all experts in their field and offer a wide range of subjects.

There is also the opportunity to take part in study days or join visits to places of interest.
