Cold Comfort Farm meets Carmen and 3 Fights, 2 Weddings & a Funeral. Lorca's famous Spanish tale of feuding families, freely adapted and re-set in the farming communities of the Yorkshire Dales.
Returning from the Spanish Civil War Leonard finds his childhood sweetheart about to marry an old rival. Tradition demands grim faced acceptance but Len has been infected by the hot blood and revolutionary ideas of southern Spain. He will not let it lie!
Between flamenco dancing sheep, hay making and throwing hay makers, and with the Dairy Maid of Doom forever lurking by the Cowshed of Calamity, the wedding celebrations soon descend into farce and then tragedy.
