Stand-up comic, actor in films, TV, radio and on stage, documentary filmmaker, writer of award-winning TV series, journalist, short story writer and novelist. And here he is, in Helmsley, with STALIN ATE MY HOMEWORK : A Memoir

Alexei Sayle was born in Liverpool on the day egg rationing came to an end... Tonight he performs excerpts from his new book, a hilarious memoir of his confusing life as the son of Communist parents, his childhood in Eastern Europe and his years as a teenage Maoist.

It is a funny and perceptive portrait of a family, a city, a country and a continent going through enormous changes. Naturally Alexei will also answer questions from the audience about anything from his dazzling show business career to easy stubborn stain removal.
