(The Seahorses, The Yards) whose commanding voice has always commanded attention and whose stunning new album The Rookery is receiving rave reviews; superb North East-based vocal quartet Mouthful whose breathtaking and joyous dexterity embraces folk to funk, Georgian to jazz, country to gospel and redefines all possibilities in terms of what the human voice can do; and Scriptophilia comprising Peter Spafford with multi-instrumentalist Richard Ormrod performing poems and songs about graffiti, shopping lists, Mad Men, notebooks and death amidst an inspiring celebration of the sources, compulsions, and consolations of writing.
