Join actor Freya Popplewell in a two day theatre workshop covering voice, movement and teamwork, through fun drama games!
Seize the opportunity to amp up your artistry in a workshop that not only develops your skill-set, but inspires the actor within you.
At the end of the second day, families will be invited to join in and be led in an hour of drama activities led by the participants themselves!
Workshop Details
Day 1: An Actor’s Tool Kit
Voice Work
Learn to make your voice expressive, clear, and powerful, ready to command the stage!
Movement Skills
Jump, stretch, and groove! Through playful activities and music, we’ll build flexibility, balance and coordination—getting your mind, voice, and body energised ready to take on anything.
Teamwork Skills
Fun games and team challenges teach you how to connect and create a supportive and responsive stage presence.
Day 2: Enhancing Performance Skills and Taking the Lead
Blending Our Skills
Building on day 1 we will focus on developing the seamless integration of voice, movement, and teamwork. Exploring how these elements intertwine to create a more dynamic and cohesive creative work.
Reflection Time
A chance for you to ask questions. Pause and think about your experience: What did you enjoy the most? When did you feel proud or confident as a performer?
Taking the Lead
We will help you unlock your leadership potential by showing you how to plan and deliver a fun, interactive workshop. Then it’s your turn to take the lead (if you want to)!
Later that day, you’ll run your very own session for family, friends and Youth Theatre members.
(2-3pm on Wed 27 - Take the lead - optional involvement for families 8+)
Please bring a packed lunch and wear loose comfortable clothing that you can move freely in
