Dr Michelle Hills, Chief Medical Officer at Martin’s House Children’s Hospice in Yorkshire, describes in her book, The Wrong Order of Things, the realities of caring for children with complex, generally life-ending, medical conditions. She works together with families to try to find a way through illness and make their children’s lives, however short, the best and happiest they can be.
