1812 Theatre Company

The 1812 Theatre Company is the in-house amateur company of Helmsley Arts Centre, with a rich and varied show history - from Elgar's Rondo and Much Ado About Nothing to Quartet and Calendar Girls, as well as musical/comic revues and the annual Christmas show/panto.  We normally stage four productions every year plus our family-friendly 1812 panto at Christmas.

We are a lively and friendly group and are always keen to welcome new faces.  Whatever age, with or without experience, there are many ways you can join in or give us support.

Please arrive for registration 15mins before your booked audition, wear loose, comfortable clothing you can move freely in and bring a drink. No prior preparation is required, the audition will include movement, script work and singing.
 
Please note by attending the audition you are confirming you are available for the rehearsal period and performances. Please do not register and audition if you are unable to commit to the production.
 
Rehearsals will take place on Monday and Thursday evenings, as well as occasional Sundays. Not all cast will be required at every rehearsal. Rehearsals will be held at Helmsley Arts Centre, Helmsley Methodist Church and Kirkbymoorside Library. The cast will receive a rehearsal schedule and will be expected to notify the director asap if there are rehearsals they cannot attend.

Mamma Mia - Owner of local pizzeria. The Dame.

Stromboli - A ruthless Italian puppet master. The villain.
